Who Are We?

Who are these guys that are driving to Alaska?

We are young professionals of Generation Y who have a passion for travel and change.  We understand that traveling somewhere is not to just go there, but to engage in the lives of the people in the area.

We not only want to travel to new destinations when we can, we want to take in all we can, wherever we travel to.  Each of us has been to many places over the world, and we both want to see all we can, while we can.

Our Story - July 7th, 2007 in Anchorage, Alaska

Looks to do something slightly different each day

New destinations are a passion of mine, and I take any chance I can get to go somewhere I've never been before. Travel is one way I have found to get away from everyday life. I have always been interested in the way people live in other parts of the world, climates, weather, rock patterns...all that outdoorsy stuff. This world is ever changing, and I want to see the glaciers before they melt, the wildlife before we move north to drive the animals out of their habitat, and I want to see what the world looked like before civilization took it over; the vast Canadian Wilderness will take us back in time as we travel to destinations far from home.

Ever since I was little, I have enjoyed the outdoors, and have a goal to travel around the world before my time is up. With this trip, I have North America out of the way; Bryan and I have taken other trips in the past to the Canadian Maritimes, and out west to Yellowstone and Salt Lake City. This year we will both conquer our travels through Canada and the rest of the US that we have not visited; I still have to make it to Hawaii.

The great thing about this trip is that we are headed through the Pacific Northwest. I cannot remember a time when I didn't want to live out that way. From tall pines, to mist-filled days, to being within hours from the mountains, the beach, and the city; I have always felt that I could find something there. Yet I have never been there.  Being up to date in technology, know-how, and loving the outdoors makes that area so attractive to me. This trip will make it or break it for me looking to move there some day soon.

"Always open to change and opportunity"

Looks for everyday adventure

Ever since I was born, I have been traveling.  Moving to Rochester in high school was already the 4th move of my short life.  Because of these moves, I have never wanted to stop seeing our own country as well as the world.  During high school, I was fortunate enough to visit Italy and Australia and this only instilled in me the adventure in seeing new lands.

This also encouraged me to look beyond New York when it came to college.  As it turned out I ended up over 1500 miles away in Tampa, FL.  At school in Tampa I met and befriended people from all over the world.  Meeting these people encouraged me to keep on traveling during college and as a result have taken 2 road trips with Matt as well as spent a semester abroad in London, England and was able to see most of Western Europe as well as Israel.

I learned at an early age that when you visit a place, you can’t just allow yourself to see it, you have to experience it.  Take in local customs, talk to locals, really experience life in each new place you visit.  This road trip is going to be amazing because we will get to take in local customs and traditions in places that I would have never imagined myself traveling to.  I am extremely fortunate to have a friend like Matt who loves the adventure of traveling as much as I do.

"Never stop wanting to see what’s just around the bend."

Visit our page often.  We will be keeping out set live and up to date as we travel across Canada to Alaska, down the west coast, then back through the states to Rochester.  The trip will be about 6 weeks long as we travel over 11,000 miles throughout North America.
